Dr. Mohammed has studied the behaviour and physiology of plants for over 20 years and has distilled her observations into her book of 100 inspirational reflections. "Catnip & Kerosene Grass" draws upon scientific knowledge and anecdotal information about plants, to encourage and challenge people by relating some of the simple yet poignant lessons that we can take from plants and their ways. Gina Mohammed holds a PhD in Biology (Plant Physiology) from Simon Fraser University in British Columbia and a BSc in Biology from the University of Toronto. She has been a research scientist for more than 20 years and has written over 120 articles for scientific and popular audiences, as well as several chapters in university textbooks.
